Possible to Wait or Sleep in Divinity 2 DKS?

Is there any way to do this?
I find I'm spending 90% of my playing time standing around waiting for my mana to replenish ever so slowly so I can attack more enemies.
I even tried minimizing the game window but this doesn't work.

Are there any kind of gameplay mods for Divinity 2 DKS? It seems like such a simple thing to fix to enable waiting or sleeping.
I haven't been able to find any kind of larian modding site.

There just is no modding in/with Divinity 2.
It remains to be one of the few left games without any modding capability, as far as I know.
