I fucking hate netbios. Years of experience with it, now two Windows 7 PCs, linked as usual via WLAN. Everything works, ping, remote desktop, but…

TIMEOUT. No asking for user/pass, just waiting, nothing.
It's a world of timeouts. It sucks. It sucks sooo often. Problems. Always. Any windows version.
The problem is you can't really hunt it down. Wireshark would be too hard for me.
explorer \\PC-OG1\ -> OK
explorer \\192.168.42.42\ -> No access, ask the admin.
