Default Drones Up to 25 Pounds Allowed for U.S. Safety Agencies

Not sure if this is really that good. In the long run, it could be scary.

How could it be good? People do whatever is good for them, and once drones become cost-effective, the federal government will have even more capacity for consolidating power among the few.

Consider the current climate where the federals simply have the IRS "random" audit you repeatedly if you take them to court. With good drone coverage they would be able to apply agency laws in the most extreme manner possible to those they want to bring down. It would be laughably easy for the higher levels of government to reach inside of private property and destroy any semblance of privacy. It will still be abused by local governments, with more and more meanness the more local, but surely with less ability to erase or doctor film the government doesn't want existing.

Basically, it is a step towards a world that is less worth living in. The only thing that would give it some sort of value is if all drone data was displayed live and stored on record for the general public at the same time Obama, Romney or Gen. Alex could see it. (This idea was proposed by another rpgwatcher.)
