Modern 3D cutscenes in games

tolknaz, I can't remember any animated 2D cutscenes in games! Were there any? Mostly I was comparing to anime that I watch from time to time, and I can't remember any anime with empty eyes, that's why I think it's the flaw of 3D. Off the top of my hat (or is it head?
