Im all back into Soundgarden right now.

Audioslave-curious, i never explored any of Cornell's work outside soundgarden. Considering the first audioslave cd, maybe cornell's first solo cd.

Y'all are taking the theme concept a little different direction. Nothing wrong with that since it's an artificial restriction anyway. I was trying to link them up by the song title.

I don't understand your theme concept -

Is it: 80s music with titles that have a forename in it?

Yep, girls' names. There's no real rules to this thing since I'm imposing them on myself. Other themes might be vision (titles with "eyes" or "see"), or transportation (Queen's "Bicycle Race", Aerosmith/Run DMC "Walk This Way", Gary Numan's "Cars", and so forth). The most entertaining one I've come up with so far would involve demolition (Peter Gabriel's "Sledgehammer", AC/DC "TNT").

I'm sticking to 80's music since that's the radio station's format, and besides, I like that junk. I'll admit some of the songs I'm picking aren't my favorites, though. Sacrifices made so the list is radio-friendly…

Sorry. No pearls of wisdom in this oyster.

My list:

This Mortal Coil - Song to the Siren
Talking Heads - Psycho Killer
Laurie Anderson - O superman
Blondie - Atomic
Dead Can Dance - The host of Seraphim
PiL - Rise
Peter Gabriel and Kate Bush - Don't give up
Sade - Why can't we live together
Sinead O'Connor - Troy
Words - The Christians

It was rather difficult to pick only ten though.

O. IC. A theme.
Right.
Hm, I'll think of something that binds my ten songs of the eighties later, I hope.

Lush as in the band, or as in a description?

An easy one - theme: 80s music with 'love' in the title:
  1. I just called to say I love you - Stevie Wonder
  2. Tainted love - Soft Cell
  3. Woman in Love - Barbra Streisand
  4. I want to know what love is - Foreigner
  5. Lessons in love - Level 42
  6. I love Rock'n'Roll - Joan Jett & The Blackhearts
  7. What's love got to do with it - Tina Turner
  8. You can't hurry love - Phil Collins
  9. Saving all my love for you - Whitney Houston
  10. Caravan of love - Housemartins

Right. My list is a complete failure. Sorry. I was a bit too enthusiastic, I started thinking about possible songs that might be worth mentioning, after that I did not read the rest of your post as carefully.

I thought your game was difficult enough, dteowner, I mean it took me quite some time to check the release dates.
A theme. Well, they are all in English.

The average southern Indiana redneck… Now that's a problem. I don't know any southern Indiana rednecks…

I give up.

Now you've got the idea. You've got a variety of styles, which would appeal to a radio station doing a "retro" segment. 2 songs from Phil wouldn't work, but you'd have no problem coming up with a replacement.
