Strange decision by Black Forest Games. No RPG elements left, and the sum they're asking for leaves them no realistic chance, despite a shipped Kickstarter title.

A half-million for a run&gun platformer?

Mmm… no.

Yeah, it looks pretty cool, but that's a bit much for something like that.

Well, I like the Trine games so I went ahead and backed it … but I agree that it looks unlikely.

This is nothing like the RPG it was before. The only thing in common is the name. Sorry I wont be backing this one.

Yup. It looks nice and all that but it's not something I would back.

Wait, what? I would have bet this is not the same Ravensdale we were talking about previously, if it wouldn't actually have the same cover/startup art.
And how did this move from Spellbound to Black Forest Games???

Edit - ah right, Spellbound died, didn't it…

There are several moments in an RPG-gamer's life which can be aptly described with "WTF???". This is certainly one of them.

They just cancelled it … guess they'd rather cancel then have it fail with ~15% funding …

Well, at least they went out in a classy way: Every supporter got a key for the new Giana Sisters DLC, and they explicitly recommended the Shadow of the Eternals Kickstarter.
