Just the design of this instrument? Ooookay… Pick "browse" then go to Codex Atlanticus here:
http://www.leonardodigitale.com/index.php?lang=ENG

Now the problem is I dunno on which page it is so you'll have to find it yourself, but here's one pic from wiki:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Viola_organista.jpg
It's not the only pic you're after as Leonardo explored various mechanisms with rotating wheels that pull a bow across strings over different pages. That's probably the reason the reconstruction took 3 years.

And while humanity is obsessed with mass murderers from history like different Napoleons and Alexanders, I tend to be more interested in bizzarre characters like that DaVinci was. And he was definetly a piece of work.

LOL, when I click on "Project description", "Help" etc. then everything is in Italian language … Despite the language selection being "English" …

Douglas Corrigan was an American aircraft mechanic and eventually a(n American) pilot. He was an excellent mechanic, and took part in building the "Spirit of st. Louis" which Charles Lindbergh used for his record-breaking 1927 non stop flight from New York to Paris.

Impressed by Lindbergh, Mr. C decides that he would do the same, but (for some reason) choosing Dublin as his target in stead of Paris. In 1933 he bought a Curtiss Robin OX-5 monoplane and installed two (stronger) Wright Whirlwind J6-5 engines for said purpose. Unfortunately the authorities (Bureau of Air Commerce) wasn't too pleased, deeming his plane unsound for transatlantic flight. After numerous modifications, which at times made his plane grounded (by the authorities), eventually, in 1938 his plane still didn't qualify for a transatlantic flight, but was allowed a transcontinental flight from somewhere in California to the Floyd Bennett Field@New York, and from the same airfield back to somewhere i California, aka "There and back again". After spending 27 hours going to New York, his logged flight plan was to return to California the 17th of July.

And off he went. Unfortunately, after flying for 26 hours he realized that the landscape ahead, which was supposed to be California, looked very much like Ireland. And indeed it was (very much like Ireland), which was confirmed when he 1 hour later landed at the Baldonnel Aerodrome@Dublin. His navigation error was due to heavy clouds so he couldn't see where he was, and besides it was too d* dark for him to see his commpass anyway.

According to Wikipedia "Aviation officials took 600 words to list the regulations broken by his flight in a telegram (a medium that encourages brevity by charging at a rate per word)", which earned him a 14 days suspension of his pilot's certificate. And the nickname "Wrong Way" Corrigan.

He later endorsed a watch that ran backwards.

pibbur who actually has a wrong way clock on a wall in his den, which btw is the one most likely to show the (roughly) accurate time, except at summer when it's 1 hour behind (just fine, as long as you know about it, and pibbur does)

U1206 was a German submarine which went into service on March 1944. After training expeditions and other things, it went on active Patrol april 1945, only to sink on april 14, mainly due to non-hostile activity. It destroyed 0 allied ships.

It was fitted with a new highpressure toiletsystem, which - according to Wikipedia - "allowed them [toilets, I assume - pibbur's ed.] to be used while running at depth". Which begs the question: What did they do before? Regular toilet breaks/surfacing? Training bladder capacity (the bowels are by default more adaptable)? Technology later employed during pre-shuttle space missions?

Despite its benefits, the system was not without problems. It was fairly complicated to flush the units correctly, and actually required training. On April 1945, one of the toilets caused a leak in the forward section. Which flooded the batteries. Which caused them (the batteries) to release chlorine gas. Which apart from its bad smell also is kind of toxic Which forced them to surface. Which made British patrols aware of them, and taking action. Which made the U1206.captain abandon and scuttle the submarine.

It's as far as I know not known who the toilet.mishandling() culprit was.

A clear example of "shit happens".

pibbur who'd like to inform the watch that in Norway "shit" is considered a very minor profanity.

PS. It has to be said that 4 of the crew (counting 50 people) died, so it's not an entirely funny story. DS.

We're a bit outside the scope of this thread here. But. If we can trust the titles, these two books contains everything there is to know.

Which means that they also contain all the things you don't need to know (in addition to those you do need to know, of course. For instance set theory).

pibbur who wonders if as a consequence he can/should stop contributing to this thread.

What they BOTH entirely don't teach is - what is taught outside of Business Schools

If we treat it abstractly (and mathematically, where the fun is), taking the titles as they are, literally, there's no such limitation. We have the union of two sets, one set (H) containing everything taught at Harvard business school, the other set (What's not taught at Harvard business school) contains everything else, all element not in H. It's the complement of H, let's call that set H'. The union of a set and its complement, in this case H and H' (H U H') contains everything.

But in real life of course it's all about business. Which of course isn't funny at all.

pibbur who prefers the abstract aproach

Evidently, Harvard is pretty damn thorough…
What They Do- 308 pages
What They Don't- 272 pages

Sorry. No pearls of wisdom in this oyster.

With interpunction it would be more readable.
