Default Clockwork Empires

March 22nd, 2014, 08:27
I remember reading about this game last year, but I completely forgot it.

It's called Clockwork Empires a steam-punk city building game being developed by a studio called Gaslamp Games. Here is teaser trailer and other information.

I enjoyed the part with the Cthulhu reference.

Take on the role of a Junior Bureaucrat (Colonial Grade), sent forth to seek fame, promotions, and natural resources to feed the ravenous maw of Imperial Industry & Commerce. Build a prosperous colony, fill it with magnificent factories worked by oppressed labourers, and harness the awesome power of steam through fearsome machines invented by determined men and women of Science! History is yours to seize for fame and fortune, for Science, and for the Queen and the glory of the Clockwork Empires!

Gaslamp Games is the Dungeons of Dredmor people. Seems like a very different game, but it does look interesting

Looks very nice.

Any intelligent fool can make things bigger, more complex, and more violent. It takes a touch of genius and a lot of courage to move in the opposite direction. (E.F.Schumacher, Economist, Source)

Can't say I'm too impressed with the art style, but the Cthulhu reference alone is enough for me to keep an eye on it.
