Default Drakensang - Takes the Charts by Storm

August 6th, 2008, 15:31
Publisher dtp sent out a PR celebrating Drakensang: The Dark Eye's phenomenal start. Even though Radon Labs' party based RPG has only been released last Friday, two days were enough to clearly dominate the official Media Control charts. The first three places are:
  1. Drakensang: The Dark Eye standard retail version
  2. Drakensang: The Dark Eye Limited Collector's Edition
  3. Drakensang: The Dark Eye steel book edition
More information.

I've never even heard of a "Steel Book Edition".
Can somebody explain?

But yeah, nice to see it have the success it deserves, lets just hope it stays high for a while.

Some DVD's are also available in a steel book version. The casing is then made of metal. I assume this is the same.

Yes, it´s the same as expensive movie DVDs. The content is identical to the standard retail version. The steel book was made for Amazon and MSH, it seems.

Cheap version of CE (often called CE itself) that can cost up to 15€ extra depending on game. Comes with (surprise!) steel casing and extra dvd with som random art.

Drakensang is a 3rd person rpg game. Gameplay reminds of Baldur's Gate, but are not similar to Baldur's Gate. You have a party, do quests etc.

As for an English version, well, maybe in 2009…

Sorry?

Was is just me or weren´t we already at the stage of recognizing that
dtp will team with EIDOS to bring Drakensang to the UK at least in Q1/2009… !?

Jade Empire SE also was sold in a "steel book version" here.
