So RP is a picture perfect libertarian but his position is distorted by the right/left conspiracy which aim to diminish his greatness?

read your statement again and hope you can understand yourself/logic a bit better. By far he is the best political figure that personify the libertarian principles. False left/right just try to discredit him, and ultimately discredit the principles. Isn't that your goal?

The problem is that MANY libertarians are embarrassed by Ron Paul - he is more real than some, but his views of how the government should legislate morality are CLEARLY in direct violation of the very basic tenets of libertarianism.

He stated publicly that he wanted to create new laws and seek government initiatives to get rid of all abortion and also to use the government to discriminate against homosexuals. Those are totally items that no REAL libertarian would be interested in touching.

better show me the actual footages, otherwise it is your interpretation. From what I know, RP is definitely against late term / partial abortion, share his view point from an OBGYN Doctor's perspective. He recognizes the complexity. examine his own words

He wants to overthrown Rove vs. Wade, take it out of the FED's hand, leave this to the states.

RP personally thinks they are queer, but people are free to do whatever they want in their private life, marriage is a religious instituation and gov should get the f*^& out. People are allow to be stupid and discriminating. Gays are trying to get "universal" acceptance with the backing of gov force/law, now that what I call "legislating morality". They can call it "marriage" or whatever they want, but just don't twist RP arms and make him agree. You think having a gov to define a religious institution is a libertarian position? Definitely not!

RP certainly believes in gun rights for gays to defend their homes.
