Didn't play first three nor will. Nor care about those.
But saw on metacritic love/hate points, ppl either say it's awsome or they can't stand it at all, there is no saying it's just "average".
Also read on a certain site that it's code was optimized for PC, which is a refreshment nowadays.

Anyone has it, is it worth buying?

Dunno if it matters, but I adored FarCry3.

Well I played it and can say it's optimized better than the past games. The keyboard controls are also better.

My only problem is the story missions are short, and you play most of the game doing side quests. It will get boring and repetitive quickly Joker. I Know you complain about grinding all the time.

Still at the end of the day it's just the usual Assassins Creed upgraded again. If you love the other games you should enjoy this one also.

Didn't play old ones and really won't bother with those, trust me.

But this grinding part interests me. Does it mean I assassinate some ppl, and then they get resurrected so I have to nail 'em again and again and again, or it's where my foot steps, nothing grows back but missions have only a few different goals?

Also is there a story and awsome characters like in FC3 or it's just killing everything that moves without any apparent reason?

When I said grinding I meant the missions and side missions are all the same. You escort ships, assassinate different people, and it really doesn't change. It's the same goal repeated on different maps.

Though on some maps the troops do re-spawn even if you kill them all after the mission is completed. I found that hilarious.

As for story your basically playing the grandfather of the character of Connor from Assassin Creed 3. It tells the tale of his early life. You get the usual freedom vs liberty crap, and more shadowing of what's to come in future titles.

Seriously this series will never end just adds more questions, and never tells the ending. It's become a movie series to be continued with every game.

That's all I wanted to know. Thanks. I'll pass this "episode" too.
Oh and should I add that I've seen there is a "season pass" for AC4… Man… Will they already stop with that stuff?

Hopefully I'll be more lucky when AC5 gets out.

Although I'll probably get FC4 before as on the pic is hinted (wall) 04.04.2014.:

I love this game. After they milked the cow (Ezio) too much after AC2 I kinda lost interest. Then cam AC3 which was way overhyped IMO. It wasn't a bad game but it wasn't pretty good either.

And now??? Holy Shit.... I was never a fan of pirate themes (at least not after what Disney did to them in the last years) but AC4 is my game of the year. Even before The Last of us and GTA5. It is the most immersive game I played so far and Ed Kennway is by far the coolest Assassin Ubisoft Montreal has created so far. This game is just ARRRRRsome! XD

AC4 Freedom Cry DLC just got released on Steam.

As it's a standalone DLC, which means you don't need to install any AC game to play it, it's definetly not just a horse armor, I might still buy it.

It's been out since December if I recall correctly, but it's now been made available as a stand alone game. That being said, a lot of people had problems with the DLC version due to some UPlay issue, so the stand alone version seems safer.

I'm glad ppl had problems with some DLC. Hell, I wish ppl had enough problems with all DLC to stop buying them.
