Firing up Dragon Age yesterday, I got a quick little update through Steam. v1.02a offers a couple of minor updates:

  • fixed the "Rally bug" introduced in 1.02
    where going through area transitions caused the Rally bonus to keep stacking
  • fixed errors in Russian 1.02 patch notes

  • fixed GDF file for Windows 7

Rally is a Champion talent and adds to defence of all party members. The bug causes the defence to add each time you change maps.

I was cruising along kicking some arse and realised my tank had a defence of 200+. Turning the talent off and on again resets it, my tank went back to 104 or so.

As far as I can tell, Steam doesn't show "Hotfixes" on their update news, but you still get them. There was an update news for Patch 1.01, but none for 1.01b even though we still got 1.01b.

I saw Steam updating a bunch of stuff tonight ... possibly DA was part of it ...
