Diskless Patch

Patch 1.1 Change Log
List of changes and fixes:
- Optimized rendering of grass using instansing;
-Fixed some minor graphical issues;
- Fixed provaly FPS in certain areas of the game world;
- Fixed bug with installation of empty windows on the screen perks;
- Now more common among merchants kolimator for AK47
- Fixed a mission to steal the documents for the don Guillermo "Working under the guise of";
- Made improvements to the range of missions for the Don Guillermo and his henchmen;
- Fixed changing relations with the factions at work on smugglers Espada;
- Fixed the mission about a vase that has been selected by bandits of the old man, Alberto - now just a marker pointing to the place where you have to get to the shore;
- Fixed the mission "Beer for Russia";
- Fixed the mission "Get 10 doses of powder" - now in describing the mission correctly stated the number of doses;
- Fixed the mission with the shooting of Rupert;
- Improved functionality of some perks;
- Improve the balance of objects falling from the corpses of enemies;
- On the sunken galleon Fixed position chest, which was difficult to find;
- Fixed the mission Gilberto;
- Fixed last mission for Leonardas.
- Fixed the mission "A competing firm.
- Fixed the mission "The release of a smuggler."
- Fixed the mission "Eliminate Sergeant Crespo.
- Fixed dialogue Juarez after completing all the missions for him and save the old Diego.
- Fixed some minor bugs Level Design.
- Fixed problem when loading katstsen;
- Reduced running speed player
- Increased time that a player can run with stamina

Or you could be smarter than the average bear, and use this fix for it, like i do.

you know, im sick of how riddled with info this site is. there is too much info on installing the game here.
I have a fool proof method to get game to work without any sound issues. and its way simpler than most of the posted ways.

1- Install Game
2- Apply 1.1 update, go into TRIVIUM folder and open 1.01 and move everything over and override when asked.
3- Apply 1.6 patch ( or current version)
4- add Russian sound files, override when asked.
5- Open Game and when asked for serial, open keygen and follow directions





P.S. - this is the same method i used 2 years ago when game was released, and the same method we had up on the deep shadows forums. (yes, its a crack and keygen….but the official release used the crack and keyge, so i dont really care about posting the fix.


Well go ahead and use the "diskless" version if you want to mess up the final scene of the game and ruin the ending.
deep shadows (or GG or whoever it was) stole this crack and keygen from TRIVIUM for the english direct version so you could bypass the starforce protection…

As my Unofficial Patch was the base for the official English Releases, I had some contact with GFI, the publisher of Deep Shadows, and they explained to me that Deep Shadows was so disinterested in doing an English version that GFI never even got an unprotected version themselves, so they had to use the crack instead...

I dont know the history of Deep Shadows, but it sucks that Precursors and white gold never got the polish they deserved, or the SDK kit the developers promised to release. (in interview from the old site)
Its hilarious that the digital publisher got no support from the devs and they had to use a crack.

I just want to confirm that niadly's steps work fine for the Gamersgate version. The only trick is getting the Hardware ID for the keygen program. When prompted to enter your activation key, you need to click on the "other method of activation" link, which will then display a bunch of information including the Hardware ID.

I wish I knew about this process before I finished the damn game. :( Oh, well. At least it should be useful to someone else.

just click on " I already have a serial number", then enter serial from keygen for hardware key. enter hardware key into keygen, and you get activation code. done.

FYI- i use the exact same method/process for install of PRECURSORS as well (minus the keygen)

Do you guys know the end-game final video's filename?
Just curious - in case we can play it outside of the game and in another player (like WMP, MediaMonkey, WinAmp, etc).

Or could find a way to "fix" the vid (or re-encode it somehow to another file format or something) so it plays properly w/out going through all those steps listed above?

Or maybe someone (like Wesp) could mod the engine to give us an option to run the final video w/ different in-game w/ a different video-encoder or something?

The final video is an ingame cutscene so it can't be played in a mediaplayer. Also the DeepShadows games use such a strange ogg format that even the sound files sound like static if you play them outside of the game.

I guess for GG-version users (that don't want to go through all of that madness - especially if we already got the game installed and whatnot), the cheap way out would be that we we need someone to capture the final in-game cut-scene video, upload it somewhere, then we can download it, and then we can watch it outside of the game. ;)

I guess, at least...
Any idea if the game use BINK or something else for playing videos in game?

Only the intro video is a non-game-engine movie and that can be watched with normal media players.

Crazy thought!

I don't expect any modder to try this b/c I'm betting this could take some work, I'd guess...but what the heck! I'll ask anyways. {shrug}

If someone captured the final gameplay (in-game engine) w/ it working properly and made that capture a video file (like say the same file format as the Russobit intro video)....
...could it be modded to actually be played at the end-game instead of the final in-game engine)?
Or maybe give at the end the option to have the game render the in-game cut-scene or the captured video of the ending?

Figured I was asking a lot w/ that - might require getting the Source Code to pull off something like I asked, eh?
Given how everything has gone w/ these games from Deep Shadows and their publishers, getting Source Code probably won't happen!

Hmmmm….let's eliminate a few steps.

What about just having someone just use a program to capture the final in-game video working properly (kind of like what that person on Youtube did);
save the capture-video in a format so that most Media Player can play it (i.e. like AVI or something that WinAmp, MediaMonkey, or WMP can read);
and just include that video-file in one of your patches (maybe you have it say go right into the Xenus2\VIDEOS folder)?

We could just play that captured-video in a Media Player outside of the game at our own will.

I don't understand the problem: If I can't finish a game, I usually check the ending out on YouTube anyway! This would only increase the patch size needlessly for everyone else…

I guess I should note: THIS PATCH IS OFFICIAL. It's not for the gamersgate English version. It's for those who bought the Russian downloadable version (yuplay.ru, etc.) If I recall correctly the trivium crack didn't actually include the 1.1 version files when compared to what the 1.1 installs and what was included with the trivium game data.

No one has this patch left? I have a digital version of this game with GamePitStop.ru. I downloaded it in 2011 from letitbit. I uploaded it to the torrent. But the image in the game is shit. I don't know, maybe the patch will somehow solve this problem? I'm sitting on these 5 hands now.

thanks for the link and still it is valid with seeders until now,

What's the big difference between those 2 patches 1.01 and 1.1, also a bit confusing when downloading 1.1 and seeing 1.01 on the installer window.
Assuming that 1.01 is disk-less while 1.1 cries for the DVD, size for both extracted is 167 MB but little different in installer size and just the date stamp at some .dll on 1.1 are newer.
Tried both, using labeled 1.01 and the Trivium generator the game shuts down without hanging-up anymore but using 1.1 and coping the crack files from Miegagames makes it work too but still I had the frozen screen when quitting.

Installed 1.01 diskless on my Steam version which worked without using the keygen, assuming Steam is V1.0 like Gamersgate, on both my saves from patched RU version did not work before applying any of those patches,
