There's still that pretty gritty Crime movie series in the rumor mill. It would be around the time of the rise of the Empire, but GL has so far refused to do it becaue he said that the technology isn't there yet.

There won't be any more. Apparently Lucas is butthurt (yes, I just said butthurt) over the amount of fan backlash he's received.

Since I liked them and since I love both animated series to bits, yes. Luckily kiddo is 8 now and the 3D versions gave us the chance to go to the movies together.
