Hadn't seen that before. Probably not going to get me to convert any time soon, but it was pretty cool.

Rather beardy, if you ask me.

This is probably my favourite "illusion":

Castle Illusion

It´s well known too, plus quite mindmelting.
Watch it in fullscreen for better effect.
No scaring bullshit, promise.

Yup, that's my favorite too. It's seriously weird.

Thank you. An image of Bin Laden made me remember what harm religion can cause.

Yes it worked after a second try, staring at the dot. The funny thing is that the colors are bright and in color perfectly for a few seconds afterwords. Pretty cool.

The other one was also kind of neat, seeing it with your minds eye.

As far as I know, this is due to how images are "saved" on you retina(?) (I'm not too good with english and terms I've only learned about in danish) - just like if you stare at something bright, you'll keep seeing it when you close your eyes.

My guess is that the colors of the first image "hang around" when the B/W is showed, and as such you get the resulting illusion.

But who knows - and it's pretty cool all the same ;)

It's called afterimage I believe.

Heh yeah if you goggle afterimage the god image pops up in the search.
