Have ye heard the news?

A little news media in Montreal says that

Windows 9 is almost hiar.
And screw that. I'm not translating that. Too lazy. :D

Yup.

Coming the 30th of September.

Do they speak the truth?
And who's happy 'bout it? ;)

Well. It might not be that.
Microsoft made an annoucement that something new will be presented that day.

I read about it a few months ago it has a few nice additions, but I'm still undecided. I haven't even updated to Windows 8.1 yet. Guess I'm a procrastinator.:)

MS has invited the press for a "The future of Windows" event on 9/30 where they are going to announce (not release) Windows 9, or as rumor has it, just Windows. That's right. Rumor has it they're dropping the version number and Windows will just be called Windows, no matter if it's on PCs, mobile computers, phones, tablets or the Xbox.
Guess we'll find out in a couple of weeks but any kind of final release is probably about a year away since they are just now ramping up public beta testing.

And yes, it's been hinted at very heavily. There has been a leak on the Weibo account of Microsoft China as well.

We're going to get a saner Windows that will bring back the start menu, one that will be worth getting. 8.1 does have some performance improvements and other such stuff that make it desirable, it's just the interface that totally sucks.

I don't know if you're on to something but what I can tell you is that I took that from South Park.
Eric Cartman says it all the time.
I forget on which episode I heard it for the first time but fatass Eric goes :

- You hiar. Me hiar.

With an accent that I can't put my finger on.
And yes it does mean here! :D
