In part I agree.

I need cluebooks rather for riddles than for anything lse.

The only one I've bought is for Morrowind, I got it for a few dollars when in the States.

At that point I'd already had 2 play throughs so used it to weed out every little secret and cave I had previously missed. Well worth the money (what little I paid!).

I've got strategy guides going back to Daggerfall, so I'd say I'm a buyer sometimes.
