I gave the nod to 2, but 1 really tugs at your heart strings.
G3 was massive, but did not have the same soul.

I voted G1, but the Gothic game that I played the most is probably G3 which I really enjoyed, warts and all.

The Risen games are solid but not up to Gothic standards.

I agree ... but since I played G2 first I am never sure if THAT tilts my pperspective.

I just played it again a few months ago ... loads of fun. Still prefer #2 'Gold' the best, but #3 is a blast!

Yeah, I keep meaning to pick it up for a while now, but new shiny open world games keep pushing it back. I am getting a little overloaded on open world games lately, though.
