Been waffling back and forth between skyrim and minecraft as my next go-to games. Was wondering if this Requiem overhaul was well-done for a person seeking a better, more RPG-like Skyrim experience, or if its bad reviews have substance?

Both are pretty good, but they don't really change the core of the balance issues as much as one would wish.

I've played both and they both start out harder - especially Requiem - but they both end up being too easy after a while. That might be because I always play a stealth archer - and it seems those skills are fundamentally broken in terms of being too powerful.

I prefer Skyrim Redone because it has a lot more toys (perks).

Thanks, Dart. I wound up doing a fresh re-install with A.C.E. instead, at the end of it all. I like what SkyRe sets out to do but compatibility patches for it are a nightmare…. After having spent the past 7 months doing one kind of patch or another for FNV, I want a carefree, TOS5Edit-free experience more than anything.
