Why???

So many single player games, you get a quest were you have to do it with the person or another person. They suck and most of the time make the quest harder or are just worthless being there.

Games should just give you the option to do the quest with that person or for that person.

You mean like escort quests where you have to escort a supposedly-helpful-but-often-worthless NPC through some nasty area? Or are you talking about real people?

I've got a beef with those friggin' attract screens (or whatever the game industry calls them) where you start a game and you get some screen that does nothing at all except tell you to hit a key, then you go to the main menu. They're very common on console games. {Triple bad if you have to go through the screen to properly exit the game!}
