well guess I'm not in the 'most fans' groupTo me, 5 is behind 3 in my list of HoMM games (far behind, but still #2)
Same here after heroes III I feel only V is worth heroes name(IV and VI are ok but I feel they are not up to set standards).I agree that V is far behind III but I also think it's lot in front next contender.Also to me only king's bounty compares to heroes III in quality lot difrent game but I felt same flair like when I played heroes III.As for age of wonders I think it's very good game but I don't have enough hours of playing it to deeply analyze it and compare it other similar games(maybe I will install it when I clear my backlog)
