Quite a lot…

and quite a lot of which I have never heared of. ^^

And you can throw out Battle Brothers as it's not released yet. Release is scheduled for Q2 2016 and I don't think Early Access launches make you participate twice. Do they?

Technically D:OS EE is a separate game, while Wasteland 2 DC is a patched game.

That's somewhat unfair, but I guess that you have to draw the line at some point. Otherwise we got every game here which was patched this year.

You are right - I have set Battle Brothers back to an estimated release date.

Not true. Both of them are separate from the original versions.
I would definitely not include remastered & director cut versions of 2014 games. If we do they would win two years in a row, and it's not fair to newer games released this year.

Not sure if they would…but they certainly could.

That said, I fully agree.

In addition it should give them incentive to make a good game at release...

Not that one reward would change anything but it would also not set the right signal.

I was only talking about the fact that they're separate games as opposed to patches. - i.e. I now have two versions of Wasteland 2 in my Steam library. :)

@daveyd - clearly you have not played Serpents in the Staglands. For shame! :disappointed:

Actually I have played it. Unfortunately I found the combat so dreadful that I didn't play for very long. Granted I'm not a big fan of RTwP in general, but this is one of the worst examples. It's a real shame, because I think the non-combat portions are excellent, but with huge hoards of monsters and unavoidable fights make combat too big a part of the game for me. Perhaps once the expansion is released I'll give it another shot, but I certainly wouldn't vote for the game or even recommend anyone buy it.

In GOG, WL2 has been replaced.

Anyway I agree WL2 and DOS shouldn't be included in the vote for 2015.

I also have notmal DX:HR and DX:HR DC separately.
Does it mean we should have voted on DC? I don't think so. Unless the director's cut was released in the same year of course - but IIRC it was not.

Same goes for Baldur's Gate: EE. Is it the old game only? It's not. But was it released back then in the same year? It was not. If we'll vote about it today, what stops cashgrabbers to put two more quests in it the next year so we vote on it again?

But that leaves a question about the game I'm currently on.
Raven's Cry.
What to do with it? The initial release and EE were released in this year, but EE is not even called EE, got a completely different name (Vendetta).
It would be rediculous to vote on each one separately as Vendetta kept most of quests from original game not all though and many got changed, plus added much more of new ones.

Well my top three as we are only allowed to vote for three games on the yearly poll.

1. Witcher III
2. Pillars of Eternity
3. Fallout 4

I'm excluding all remakes and remastered games from 2014.:)
