The developers of Balrum have been quiet for the past few months. After searching for any new information I found a new video preview of the Beta from Cup Code Gamers.

Balrum is TB or at least the combat is.
I'm starting to really like what I'm seeing here. It looks a lot like the Eschalon games except more detailed and with a greater variety of mechanics to play around with. The only thing I don't like is how zoomed-out the view is.

I started to like the game the first time I saw it. 
Mainly, yes, because it reminds me of Eschalon games.
I think one can never get enough of this kind of games. And it is great that some devs are taking the risk of making them.

Everyone knew that already as Balrum is inspired by Eschalon. In a few earlier news-bits a few members claimed they where using the same Eninge.
They were of course proven wrong by the developer.
