Steam has Vampire: The Masquerade: Bloodlines: Return of the Punctuation on sale. Really, if you haven't played this one, get it. I absolutely loathe modern vampire crap and this is still one of my all-time best RPGs. Bugs and half-assed ending aside, it's an excellent example of how to do a story-driven, linear-hub RPG right.

IIRC Rune is not RPG but I lost the disc (more precisely threw it away because I remember not liking the game). Septerra Core is RPG, and more important, it's a must have one. :)

Does the steam version have the updates included? I've got a friend that loves this game, so I'm inclined to get it anyways, but I also don't really care to fiddle with patches and such.

I think it's updated with all of the official patches, but those don't fix everything. It's really easy to install the unofficial patch that fixes the leftover bugs and some of the endgame weirdness, but I'm not sure if it still gives the option of not installing the creator's personal changes. I don't have a problem with most of those, but you might want to play it vanilla first.

If you do get it, I suggest playing a straightforward class first (something with Celerity will handle anything), and then go back through as a Malkavian for a real treat.

My issue with Rune is mainly that Blade of Darkness is so much better. Rune really isn't an RPG, and worse still, the whole thing is just a journey ... I still had decent fun playing it a couple of times.

Hey.

Here ya go. This should ease your decision.

Found in Positron's comments of the game on Steam :

"P.S.-Thanks to Section Nine http://steamcommunity.com/id/Section9/ for providing the links to the patches for the game. "

And there is this at Reddit.

You can certainly do worse than Rune. Seem to remember it as a pretty fun action "weekend game", comparable to something like Die By the Sword.

If you want to get Dark Souls 2 with 20% less price, hop on GMG and use this voucher:
OFU76E-1C6RHK-OX6OMC

It actually works on many titles too, and is valid for next two days (till DS2 gets released). Not sure if it's EU only, though.

No, I'm still not buying but I know many want it. :)

GamersGate is running a spring sale, new offers are put up every 24 hours with some specials every 12 hours.
While I don't see an irresistible pricedrop on any title today, expect at least a few juicy offers soon:

If I'm understanding this correctly, I believe Steam is giving away the single player version of Red Orchestra 2 for free. Never played it myself, but.....free is free.

One of adventure gems is added to Steam catalogue.
Nostradamus: The Last Prophecy.
http://store.steampowered.com/app/287720/

It's sold for 20€ elsewhere (gamersgate, adventure shop, amazon) and on steam it's now with promo price only 7€!
Buy now! Even if you're not into adventures. This is one of those games you probably never heard of and once you start cracking it's puzzles you won't believe how come noone ever mentions it as a brilliant game.

Oh and a correction. Steam lies. The game developer is now defunct Kheops Studio not some Anumen and Microids whatnot!

——-

You don't want a perfectly designed adventure? Okay maybe a game with no balance is your thing. You know… So called - roguelike.
Depths of Fear: Knossos just got released, with 25% off. You pay only 4.5€!
http://store.steampowered.com/app/252570/

——-

Or maybe you'd die just to get your hands on:
Mind-altering sandbox game that can be described as a racing role-playing adventure game with a complicated storyline.

A story, adventure and RPG! Yea, one such game also just got released and with 30% off will cost you only 6.30€!
No I'm not buying, I despise the word: sandbox.
Anyway, the game title is Vangers.

For whatever reason you just didn't feel like buying Demonicon before?

Shame on you, it's a good game. Not a masterpiece by any means, but is fun, gives another take to TDE implementation in a PC game and I can't say anything bad about it. Okay, the savegames system was rotten. And that'd be it, everything else is fine.

Thus open the wallet as in next 18 hours it's price got lowered by 80%!
Only 8€, buy now on GamersGate:
http://www.gamersgate.com/DD-DEMONICON/the-dark-eye-demonicon

And it's not the only offer gamersgate has. Check for more RPG goodies here, if something is not -75% now, wait for a day or two:
http://www.gamersgate.com/rpg?filter=offers&prio=discount&pg=1

——-

Wanna see possibly the worst game ever made but you're kinda not prepared to pay too much for it?
Well… Not really the worst ever… There is a serious competition like that ET game they've burried millions of copies and are now making a documentary about…

Anyway, Steam to the rescue!
The whole week -90% on Gary's incident, means for less than 2€ you may prank your "best friend"! He'll definetly get the message after you gift him this!

OMG I totally forgot to add Gary's incident review.
Even if you don't have 2€ to spare on the game, the vid is free and it's educational enough to get more than, you read right, more than 3.5 million views.

A game review with so many views... Must be a good game. Or a good review?
Don't skip it!
