Hello everyone.

Thought I would post about these 2 games in here since I find them interesting.

They are both indie games and both cost less than $2.00 to play. They are actually quite good for just pick up and play fun.

First, Verlies. This game is a retro dungeon crawler, hack n' slash RPG. You traverse random levels in search of loot and heading deeper into the dungeon. The game takes place on a grid-based system with deep loot and a class-based system with lots of flexibility. It's good fun all around.

You can view a 20 minute video of me giving it a test spin by going here. > http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aByKiveoAgk . I go over all the details of the game there for you to check out.

The second game is Battlepaths. Battlepaths is a bit like a Diablo game. It's a hack n' slash RPG with turn-based combat. You traverse an open-world and fight many foes along the way while gathering impressive amounts of magical loot. It's pretty easy to pick up and has a nice graphical style. Well worth checking out.

So let me know if you guys check these out. For less than $2.00 a piece I feel they are well worth playing for some quick fun that you don't have to invest a lot into.

Yes, randomly generated levels. Everything from the random encounters to where the shopkeepers and treasures are placed is random. You will never play the same level twice.

Cool! I was wondering what it meant. :)

Verlies does look old, but it's still quite enjoyable. It's fun to just fire it up and scour some dungeons for awhile. Same with Battlepaths. They don't require much investment making them great for just picking up and playing.
