The Totally NEW Team Corwin Thread

Just found out I might end up being late tonight. The Wild Dogs got roped into playing with the band for tonight's graduation ceremony. There's only a hundred or so graduating seniors, but they'll probably drag it out somehow.

I think we could just do a DA run on epics for some fast xp while we wait for Dte. Then maybe just hit slayers or something while we wait...if he is not in yet.

Warlock live on Lamannia - But Client & Transfers Broken

Looks like Warlock went live on Lamannia for those interested.

Edit:

But character transfers are not working & even loading the client after updating is iffy. Lots of folks (including me) can't get in. Assuming they can get the client to even start up.

I just had a look at my character in detail for the new TR group, so this is where my toon is currently at;

Just into Rank 27, basically no blue bar (3rd Life)

I have also completed all the level 1, 2 and 3 quests except the following;

Stealthy Repossession
The Swiped Signet
STK Chain + The stand-alone quest
Kobold Assault
The Captives

I still haven't completed Waterworks either, I've only done the 1st quest in the chain, so 1 out of the 4, but I can catch up if I need to.

Not sure where the rest of you are up to, I may or may not be there this coming Friday night, but so far I don't think I have anything planned with the family except for the Saturday, so I might be able to make it.

Otherwise I'm up to the level 4 quests

DDO Login Back Up

Apparently the login system is down. If you're already in game, you may be ok (don't know), but apparently the entire system is down. They're "investigating". Not holding my breath.

================
It's available again.

Is Reywind back? I saw one of his toons on the ship this afternoon. Are we running the lowbies?

Not sure if he'll be there. He had to re-install the game and was having issues with it when I talked to him yesterday. He flies back home this weekend.

I'm going to try make it tomorrow night, and if I do I maybe short timing it only because it's a 4pm start for me in Vancouver.

I've sorted my DDO issues out on my laptop after re-installing Windows, so I'm setup again

Well then, that most likely puts us on the 6/7's. We'll knock out Sharn for favor and then tackle Irestone and 3BC for saga rewards. I'm betting that our 6's will make lvl7 by the time we finish 3BC exploders, which will give us the option of taking 7 (And the Old Man and I will make fun of the rest of you slowpokes) to stay on pace with the content.

Corwin at the XP wall is a new experience indeed. :)

What about completing Waterworks before doing STK? Reywind had only done the first and the rest of us need the last 2.

He and I did STK today and he has completed all the level 3 quests. We're all at the same place with Waterworks. Some of us have done Catacombs and at least the explorers in Tangles. I've also finished Carnival which many don't care for. This will be a first if I hit the wall before anyone else, especially we all know who!! :)

Yes, I was told everyone ran STK and the first half of waterworks, so I caught them up last night to bring me into alignment with everyone else, we should be ok to start the level 4 quests

Hi DPS Hi INT Rogue Mechanic Build

Thought I'd post my specs for my hi-dps mechanic rogue build (developed with help from one of the gals in Double Deviants). With a TF great crossbow, she can put out four 10K-12K HP shots per fury shot (once every 5 mins). When she's in the Fury ED, she can put out frequent 1K-4K HP shots in-between the fury shots.

Even when she's not in fury, she puts out so much dps that I have to be careful or I pull the agro off the tanks (her sneak attack damage is insane). She's averaging 300-400 base damage on non-crits, plus all the bonuses, and her sneak attacks are averaging 1200-2000 (and she gets a lot of those). I run a lot in Shiradi because double rainbow combined with nerve toxin is nice crowd control, and I still get a ton of damage.

In an EH FoT last night, I ran in Sentinel, used none of the action boosts and had to switch to SR because TO was going down too fast. Still got SR down to fumes in just a few shots (he was way behind TO when I started). I wasn't alone in doing damage, but I could see my shots take a serious chunk out of their HP every time my shots hit them. It was the fastest FoT I've ever run.

She is a 32 point 1st life toon, has +4 tomes on everything and a +5 tome on dex, so she can get to 21 Dex at level 21 for Combat Archery. She uses INT to both damage & hit.

Twisting in Critical Damage from Dreadnought is important to max out the damage. When I'm in a raid that doesn't require trapper skills, I swap out Technician and swap in Brace for Impact for the bonuses to fort & saves.

I've had to give up her chain & "nothing is hidden" to respec her for damage, but while I miss the insta-trap finding, it's worth it. I'm using this basic template for Lyahnna, but with an elf instead of shadar-kai, nothing is hidden is much lower on the tree, so I can keep it.

Code:
Ahdelya-ER-1-Shadar-Kai Rogue Ranged Int ver 2
Rogue 20
Shadar-kai

Edit:

A better distribution of the stats for a 32 point build might be:
Code:
Stats
               32pt     Tome     Level Up
               ——     ——     ————
Strength        10       +4       4: INT
Dexterity       16       +5       8: INT
Constitution    14       +4      12: INT
Intelligence    16       +4      16: INT
Wisdom          12       +4      20: INT
Charisma         8       +4      24: INT

Then put all the level ups into INT. End up at the same place at level 20, get a few less skill points, but still get plenty, and the higher wisdom will help with both spot & will saves.

For a 34 point build, I'd probably go max INT & 16 Dex, with all levels up in INT.

Blinding Fear in TF weapons broken

FYI, don't put blinding fear on TF weapons … it's bugged & does not blind, even though you get the "blind" icon over the mobs heads. See link below:

Blinding fear is not so blinding
