I've never heard of an mmo with some time limit before, don't think I'd ever play something like that. I guess if you play 24 hours a day it might be something to enjoy, you'd practically have to to keep up with the curve.
Actually, it's something I've always wanted. My problem with MMOs is that I don't like to play them if too much time has passed since it was released, and that when you are 'max level' you are doing the same two or three dungeons over and over to complete the 'pink butterfly armor set'. So I'm hoping this will help both issues.
There was a little known MMO that did something like this. Each 'cycle' would run for like 1 year I think. IIRC the name of the MMO was A Tale in The Desert.
