Even with this, people wonder why I have to be agnostic in all things, not just in terms of religion.
Imagine how much disinformation that's being circulated, world-wide, on a CONSTANT basis. That's just the unbiased disinformation I'm talking about - and let's not get into deliberate and biased disinformation, because that's too terrifying.
People, generally, believe what they read, it's that simple - and that sad.
If they just stuck with believing it, that would be one thing, but to perpetuate everything you read and refuse to acknowledge that every single fact you think you know, is potentially outright wrong or at least flawed - is in my opinion one the world's greatest problems.
That's why we have scientists fight against religion and vice versa - instead of co-existing with the motivation to understand each other, and perhaps find some middle-ground. The two things are one and the same, the books they read are just written by different people. None of them exclude the existence or non-existence of a god - because they CAN'T.
