A name from many of the childhoods here, I'm sure. All the best to his family, and thanks, Gary...

Definitely a name from my childhood... very sad news. When I was between the ages of 10 and 15 years old I read more words credited to his name than those of any author I was supposed to be reading in school...

Rest in Peace, Mr. Gygax...

Sad news indeed. I still have some of the old AD&D books around.

I know we already have a thread, but it bears repeating ...

Definitely a sad passing!

Sometimes I am reminded that I am getting older. When people who I never met but indirectly had a strong impact on my life goes away I get a such reminder.

Stephan Colbert recognized Gary Gygax at the end of his show on March 5. I was pleasantly surprised.

Yeah, he rolled a 20-sided die to find out how much we miss him...he rolled a 20. :)
