Ok, now that I got you're attention... of course pc gaming isn't dead... it's more like undead if I consider the crap that's coming out over the next couple of months. Anyway, I would like to know what you guys are looking foward to... what games will be released within the next next weeks, months, or even years that you're curious about or looking foward too. Doesn't have to be rpgs really... anything goes...

Should there be another thread like this one... just delete mine. Thanks.

I'm looking forward to:

- Age of Decadence
- Any new games to come from Spiderweb Software
- The possibility that Bethesda doesn't completely suckify Fallout 3 (it may very well end up being a great game... and if it is I'm very excited about it... time will tell)

That's all off the top of my head. I'm sure there are some new shooters that will come out that I will enjoy...

Off the top of my head:

* Age of Decadence
* The next release of Dwarf Fortress, which will take it to a whole new level
* Mass Effect (I'm including this since it's only released in Europe tomorrow)
* Dragon Age
* Fallout 3 (you did say "curious about")
* NWN2: Mysteries of Westlake (or whatever it was called)
* NWN2: Purgatorio (not to mention the other, upcoming parts of the trilogy)
* S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Clear Sky
* Mount & Blade

Dracula: Origin maybe. Although I don't like horror-themed stuff at all, this looks interesting.

Hey, I forgot all about RTS's. Add Empire: Total War to the list.

I'm looking forward to Mirror's Edge, some kind of first-person running game (more specific: Parkour; think Banlieue 13). Refreshingly clean look with vibrant colors.

Mafia 2
Starcraft 2

Plus couple games that will be ported to PC: Resident Evil 5 and GTA 4.

And L.A. Noir by Rockstar Games if it's ported to PC.

PS - Alan Wake, Crysis Warhead.

I think the PSP has a much worse release schedule ... I'm still having a hard time keeping up with PC releases

My "To Be Purchased When They Show Up" list is actually very short right now.

Spore (will probably wait for a review or two just in case it's a disappointment)
HoMM5 "Gold"
Eschalon 2 (that's probably out there a ways)
Dungeon Delvers (if they ever get back to working on it)
Witcher Enhanced

Age of Decadence is very close to making the list.

I think one of the things that PC gaming really has going for it is the modding community. For the most part, you can't mod console games and if there are expansion features, you are generally limited to the stuff developed by the game company.

I'm really looking forward to a couple of the NWN2 modules like Planescape.

Numen(somewhat--I have doubts)
Rise of the Arogonauts(again--we'll see)
Eschalon Book II--
King's Bounty:Legend
The Purgatorio project
Alien from Obsidian if it goes PC
Dragon Age

...hmmmm.... there's not one PC game scheduled for 2008 or 2009 I'm looking forward to. Perhaps if I think a little harder?

...returns to replaying Hexen...

Oooohh, can't think it through really but lists need more MMOs:

Warhammer Online
Warhammer Online
Warhammer Online
and maybe Warhammer Online too.

I'm more really forward to playing the half-dozen games I already bought but couldn't play until recently (thanks to a brand new PC). ;)

Among upcoming games, I'm mostly interested in Drakensang, Dungeon Hero and Divine Divinity 2. There's also a few adventure games that looks really interesting, line A Vampire Story, Gray Matter and So Blonde.

I likely forgot about a few titles, though. I had quite a large list of games I was keeping an eye on, but that list was lost when my previous PC hard drive died.

Tons, including:
- The next games from Obisidian
- The next game from PB
- Dragon Age
- Mass Effect
- Starcraft 2
- The Planescape triology to NWN2
- The westgate thing to NWN2
- Gothic 3 add-on
- Gothic 4
- I seem to recall BioWare doing an MMO. If so, I'll look forward to it.

+ A bunch of smaller, not-too-known games such as Beltion (I think that was the name of the Gothic looking game).
