Like others here, I am totally obsessed on the guys who feel the need to post about me all the time. Somehow. It's them (or anyway some of the crazies there) who have the imaginary relationship with me. I just post about games, all they seem to care about is posting about other people. And I see now it's not just me but a long succession of people.

I wouldn't care at all except I plan to release a game and don't need some idiots trying to character assassin me when I do, and I would never have posted about it here except the jackass running the site would not let me post over there to defend myself the 49303rd time my name came up on the site in relation to imaginary drama by someone who's not me.

Exactly, only he's not just aiming it at me but my entire team based on the fact that a Codexer trolling us, was in return, trolled back by a fan of the mod.

Again, I don't have a problem with Stainless Veteran's trolling but when you start calling someone mentally ill and attacking an unreleased mod for no good reason, you shouldn't be entirely surprised when someone (who isn't the developer) comes along to question that behavior.

Apparently Infinitron was surprised and decided to initiate a personal crusade against my entire team (several of whom are unaware of this drama) based on the responses of one person in that thread. But as I said in that thread, if Infinitron feels the need to defend the Codex on other sites:



He shouldn't be shocked that a mod developer will do the same for a mod that they are working on. I tried resolving this issue privately but Infinitron clearly wasn't mature enough and so I went there to clear up misinformation that the mod was a "prostitution mod" with sex animations promised (this was never promised) and not to continue any flame war.

I'm aware that this is just trolling on the Codex's part now (I wanted to be absolutely sure) and so I'll let this rest. Anyone who is not from the Codex (especially people from my page) are aware they're just trolling now so it's not like his continued lying is impacting the mod in any way. If anything, I'm chuffed that the Codex would dedicate such time to making up lies about the team, I even find some of it amusing.

Well don't worry he is an obvious tweenage poser trying to pass himself off as an old time gamer whose first RPG was probably morrowind (along with that girl) and no one takes him seriously. Along with a few other guys like jaesun and metro he's never posted nothing but inane drivel. Yet he loves to comment on others for some reason, and play at being someone whose opinions actually matter in the slightest.

The mental illness thing is a laugh riot. There's about a dozen people on the codex who've admitted to serious mental illness such as 'mild' schizophrenia for several posters or generalized anxiety disorder for Trash, not even counting ubiquitous antidepressant users who probably are not really mentally ill at all.
Mind you these are all regulars who are in good standing, not the 'trolls' they ban, who all seem to be regular sane people for the most part.

I would just ignore it if I were you. I did myself except it went on for years anyway, but you are just the flavor of the day I think. They may as well rename the site gossip girl codex at this point.

The thread in question in which the topic has been changed (yet again) by Infinitron who continues to prove his obsession and immaturity.

Shame the few genuine players get banned as soon as they disagree with the Codex's elitism. I used to use the forum occasionally several years ago but left when I couldn't stomach the underlying immaturity and teenage mentality anymore.

We see this immaturity in Infinitron, I mean, what person thinks its still funny to use the "blame the Jews" meme? Not a self-proclaimed 30 year old man, that joke became old long ago.

When the whole problem seems to be with a few Codexer's angry that Celeritas eos equilibrium of the night wasn't going to use NinjaWeaselMan's pornographic Intimate Animations Suite, you can tell who you're dealing with at this point: unemployed virgin basement dwellers.

I think they took problem with this because they got it into their brains that by including prostitution, you are somehow obliged to include a hak which turns sex scenes into full-on-full explicit pornographic scenes.

As a 22 year old man with a gf, I can tell you that I most certainly don't want to play any mod which forces me to watch animated porn.

I still remember the Codex's butt hurt "interview" with Bethesda on Skyrim. Even the people on GameFAQs laughed at their dumbassery and that says something…

The Codex is a forum where if you say Jew, just once, they will laugh, bash any religion once and you're intellectual great and where if you praise a text based RPG from the eighties (that you've never really played but you're going to pretend to for brofists), you and you alone can only define what an RPG is whilst claiming to be sophisticated and intellectually superior from the basement of your parent's house.

Still, The RPG Watch will remember this about Infinitron since it's pretty much front page news. I'd be surprised if he actually showed his face here again until numerous months have passed.

I don't know anything about the mod but if this is true, it's pathetic. I can tolerate a little romancing and even a little gratuitousness but I get really turned off even by pre-mass effect bioware levels of this stuff.

I've been playing RPGs since before they were on computers, and used to chat with scorpia online about games on compuserve. Not to mention sierra boards, interplay boards, atari boards and the first incarnation of this website. Never had any trouble with anyone except on that site. And nowadays it's so clear half the people never played half the games they claim, the difference is quite tangible compared to the olden days. Even most of the original codexers were more like arcanum and fallout fans most of whom were new to RPGs before those games came out. Yet they speak as if they have the wisdom of the ages when reality is most of them are a step above casual gamers at best.

We're on agreement there then. The BSN forum is filled with fans discussing the romances and (for me) they're the worst part of any Bioware game.

As for the mod, I only played the demo that was released and apart from a few options to use sex in a few quests, there was no romance of the sort with any companions although apparently there will be (?) don't take my word for it though as I only became aware of this mod when it was introduced over here the first time…

I'm glad that Obsidian decided to opt out of including romances in Pillars of Eternity. We need more RPG's which focus on story and choices and consequences rather than dedicating resources to romances.

I further suggest to critisize moderators/admins of the Codex on their site and not here.
As someone who works sometimes together with various Codexers I can say that I found a lot of CRPG knowledge among them. Most reviews, previews and interviews are a good read. @Felipepepe's recent initiative to create a CRPG guide for example is a great idea.
Certainly the Watch and the Codex are old rivals and our forum styles are very different, but in the end these are two international forums that care for CRPGs, so please stop the critisizing of the Codex here. If there's really something to critisize take the discussion where it belongs - to the Codex.

I agree, moved, and complaints about the Codex are better made at the Codex at least you can find some people there who care about this stuff.

I did do that earlier this year and Infinitron banned me as I said back earlier this April.

The criticisms I'm reading here in this thread on the Codex seem perfectly valid.

We're dealing with a child in the playground who'll have a temper tantrum the moment he hears something he doesn't like.

In fact I was ImperLeper (the one who first challenged Stainless Veteran to his stupidity) and at some point, Infinitron decided that I must be the creator of Celeritas Eos and moved that entire flame-war into its own separate thread attacking the mod developers.

Basically, Infinitron should really be attacking me but I guess he's too stupid to work out who trolled him.

It's a case of a mod with a bias towards users he likes or (as I speculated months ago) a mod whose boyfriend uses the forum in real life and whom he will hear nothing bad said about (I'm not saying being gay is a bad thing BTW but you'll only get this behavior on the Codex where there's a special user who you can't criticize even if he's attacking you).

I seriously felt like I was going up against Pope Julius III and his toyboy Innocenzo Ciocchi Del where people would be executed if they mentioned it or insulted him.

All I can say is that I hope that the ridiculous anal pounding Stainless Veteran is no doubt receiving daily is worth it to use the RPG Codex.

I knew Infinitron from the 90's when we were on the Weyrmount MOO group. Some of you are probably unfamiliar with the group, so I'll give you the run down: it was simply a group where fans of Ultima could gather to discuss the series, share their work and help one another out. He even created a fan fiction work named "Virtuousness Day" which he included me in as a character. It wasn't the best written fan fiction but it made me smile. In fact it's still up, just Google "Virtuousness Day infinitron."

He should probably be around thirty years of age by now so it's sad to see him being so juvenile but I guess some people never grow up.

He was never the brightest tool in the shed and some of his stuff was quite weird but I never knew him to be so petty. Guess I was wrong about the guy but then again, I didn't know him much. I don't know why I'm even posting this. I guess it was just a blast from the past…
