Mention of this game.

Obviously, it is RPG (it has combat, story, character progression system etc)

For gamers, this game is probably going to be a short lived one. That is why it matters to play it right now as it is in Beta release.

It is an online game, supporting a multiplayer gameplay, which is pretty rare enough to be mentioned.

It is based on children games like hide and seek etc that ensures a background to the gameplay to be easily assimilated and has been culturally coated with references to slasher movies etc

It pits a killer (the hunter) against a team of students (the hunted)

At this stage, the game has been designed to be played by random players. It works that way and works no longer as soon as players are no longer random.

Usually, this is often the opposite: games cant be played when they are played by random players.

This time, though, by tapping in traditional gaming, this game manages what so many other games fail to achieve: allowing play with random players.

Without going into detail, a team of hunted on voice coms is too powerful to be born and ruins the experience as it destroys many gameplay mechanics.

Devs are fully aware of their design counterpart and have put a number of safeguards to ensure that players keep playing with random players, without being on a voice com channel (like for example, it is possible to create private sessions but these private sessions wont provide any XP for the character progression system) etc

As more and more players cant bear gaming, they resent this feature that would probably be gone after release.

Not sure pre ordering is worthwhile because of that pressure, beta keys are rather easy to get though.

And for gamers, it is now or never as this game might be quickly spoilt.

As the moment, playing as the hunter or the hunted (even with a team of players who cant play and those are numerous), both sides are enjoyable. It is not about winning or losing. For once, the potential mass of online players plays its part, it is possible to find a game any day, any hour.

It wont last.

This game has a ranking feature. The better the performance, the higher the rank.
For the killer's side, it bears no influence.

For the hunted side, though, as soon as you start to near the top, some are driven into an anti team work behaviour: they try to get you killed in order to get you lose the rank.

It must be fun.
