According to German site PC Games, Fallout 4 will be shown at E3. They have their info from an anonynous source, so it might or might not be true. The video presentation would have a 20-30 minute length and will not be released this year.

Bethesda has not responded to this rumour.

More information.

Of course it will be revealed there. No rumors needed, it's just logical.

For the release date, as I said before, I wish we get FO4, ME4, new DX game and Cyberpunk in the same year.
GOTY events would then be covered by World Wrestling Federation.

I hope it is better than that womb reject called Fallout 3. The whole engine was just fugly, clunky and terribad.
I hope it is at least Skyrim level (but with no Skyrim level bugs :D) and that they got some real writers this time :D

As if Skyrim was a huge improvement? It was still basically the same engine. :)

Actually I liked the Obsidian made "New Vegas" much more.

Hopefully, we do. Hoping for Dishonored 2 as well. I guess we will see more of Doom 4 also, which could be interesting.

Late last year, I spent approximately three months patching Fallout 3 into what I wanted, to try to make it somewhat palatable after being accustomed to the superior Engine and scripting support of New Vegas. I seamlessly blended FOOK, FWE, WMK, Ironsights, and EVE, creating a 2mb plugin that dwarfed anything I'd done previously, complete with hundreds of edited weapon meshes.

After spending this inordinate amount of time to patch the clunky mechanics out of the game and giving it a polish otherwise unavailable on the Nexus, I played FO3 for a grand total of two weeks before I got bored out of my mind.

I'll buy FO4, but I'm pretty apathetic about it, given its Bethesda origins; you can polish a turd all you like, but it will remain a turd at its core. My one hope is that Obsidian is again given the reins on a followup title.

I'm one of those "wierdos" around these parts who - in spite of the fact that good writing and characters is important in an RPG for me - enjoyed Fallout 3 more than New Vegas. That said, I would actually love to see Obsidian do a follow-up or spin-off in the Elder Scrolls universe. There is some really great lore that hasn't been used in ES that seems right up Obsidian's alley.

In the meantime, I'm really happy that Obsidian finally has its own IP to continue fleshing out in the coming years.

I didn't but I guess I can see how people would like different approaches. For me I always felt like there was never a good choice and the whole time my character was a puppet for one sleazebag overlord or another in New Vegas. It was less my story than a story I was a piece of, compared to the more linear but more personal story from FO3 itself.

I also enjoyed DC in ruins a lot more than the desert or Vegas (boring town outside of a few flashy casinos). DC ruins had tons of cool locales, many of which I've visited. Been to vegas too, but my memories from there stem more from being totally wasted and/or totally broke from gambling misadventures.

Either way, both are really good and I look forward to whatever they may do with "4" even though it'll probably still be console first design with crappy console/controller UI and is probably years out.

I would be very surprised if Obsidian ever works for them again given the 80% rating on metacritic screwing over they got last time.

What "screwing over"? The contract included provisions for a BONUS payment in case the game would meet a certain MC average. The game did not meet or exceed the required average. The bonus payment did not come into effect. End of story.

Care to explain where the "screwing over" part is to be found? Bethesda could have also offered a contract with no bonus chance at all. Why would a completely optional chance to score a bonus be a bad thing or even screw someone over?
