I think that environment does play a large part in ones sexuality. As far as i know there is no such thing as the gay gene however people believe that the environment can trigger homosexuality and is seen to be urreversable.

Some interesting links imo on homosexuality.

Best i could find on homosexuality by country

Yes, I most certainly think so - and not in a small way, either.

Did you really link to an ex-gay website and expect someone to take you seriously?

I thought they were interesting articles.

That said i didnt know NARTH was so devisive. I noted that they referred to Dr. Francis S. Collins and put in quotes a claim that he didnt make in one article. Other than that i dont see much wrong with Narth.

I noted on the Ex-gay watch site they are saying thing not really related to Narth to back up their claims in repsonse the resoponse of the response to Dr. Francis S. Collins. I have a feeling the good doctor regrets getting involved with any of this at all.

EDIT: rereading that NARTH claims that he does say it.

The 2008 statement from the American Psychological Association and in the recent succinct summary of Dr. Francis S. Collins himself: when the world’s expert on genetics and the human genome is asked if homosexuality is hardwired by DNA and his response and is that homosexuality “is genetically influenced but not hardwired by DNA” and that “whatever genes are involved represent predispositions, not predeterminations,” how much clearer can you be?

Well, this is a subject often avoided... but children also have some sort of sexuality either way. I don't know how much you know about X and Y chromosomes and such a things. But sometimes men are born wanting to be woman, and you could find an imbalance in these chromsomes. Just like some men like to listen to eurovision music and wear pink even since their early days. Some women like to be boyish, and wrestle with their little female friend instead of playing with boys and so on... that's just the way it is.

Yes it does - but in a different way no-one likes.

*snip*
(Deleted my own "Buffy Speak" - it just sounded too embarassing even to me … *blush*)

Here's what I really mean : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Phthalate

They seem to disrupt the development of sexuality in people.

That's why some of these these "plasticizers" (just took that word from Wikipedia) are banned in the EU.

True but is that sexuality or something else? Could that be just a "strong pointer" that the child could turn gay? But i dont know. The concept of a child wanting to be something else seems foreign to me as you never hear about it in eastern countries. Though there are some gay people in those countries but much smaller than the western countries. But none of them undergo "the operation".

Eastern countries have just as many gay as other places, they are just less open about it. In those countries it is still many gay men who are married with children, they keep their gay parts in the dark and have secret affairs with men.

Gays and lesbians have existed since the dawn of time. Even in very strict religious societiys where being gay is banned, they are still there, but they can't show it…. especially not in the extreme countries were they could be executed.

Our zoo has gay penguins. I am sure its the bad example of all those homosexuals we allow to run free instead of chaining them into damp dungeons to cure them of their disease

Well they cant in the country(Sri Lanka) where i come from, it is like everyone knwo what everyone is doing. The women talk and so do the men. If there was a person having a gay relationionship they would be outed very quickly and forced to live with other gay people.

Also in my country people arent very sexual. The concept of the blowjob or anal sex is very foreign. Maybe everyone there had very stunted sexual growth. I know i had no idea of sex till i was 13.

Well if you google gay in sri lanka you get a lot of hits..... that should perhaps be a hint?

Also how do you know how sexual people are? that a lot of children is still born in your country is probably a sign that it is not so little as you think?

The have sex but not anal or oral sex. Hence what i mean by not sexual.

As for gay sri lanka that is 5 times less than what you get for Gay Australia. Despite being the same population. 2.5 times less than gay iraq.

And if you take the % of population who have internet in Australia compared to the % in Sri Lanka?

As for the couples sexual preferences.... I don't think it is that different from the rest of the world. I don't think their are any accurate statistics either.
