Eurogamer brings news (via RPGCodex) that Bioware has announced the final DLC for the ME singleplayer campaign. It is called Citadel - and will be released on all platforms
(PC, Xbox 360 and PS3) on March 5th 2013, for PS3 in Europe the date will be March 6th.
Chris Priestly has to say about Citadel, the DLC, at the Bioware forums:
All good things must come to an end, and that includes the Commander Shepard trilogy. However, just because it is coming to an end, that doesn't mean we can't go out with a bang. Introducing the final Mass Effect 3 single-player DLC: Citadel! When a sinister conspiracy targets Commander Shepard, you and your team must uncover the truth, through battles and intrigue that range from the glamour of the Citadel's Wards to the top-secret Council Archives. Uncover the truth and fight alongside your squad - as well as the cast from the original Mass Effect and Mass Effect 2. When the adventure is over, reconnect with your favorite characters from the Mass Effect Trilogy, try your luck at the Citadel's Silver Coast Casino, blow off steam in the Armax Combat Arena, or explore and furnish Shepard's own living quarters on the Citadel. With unique content and cinematics featuring your friends and romance interests in the Mass Effect trilogy, Mass Effect 3: Citadel offers one final chance to see the characters you have known for years and rekindle romances.

Haha. Not sure if they will ever bundle all the DLC up into one big discounted package. If they do it will at least be another 6 months, likely more.

Why would they. Bioware and EA make more money making people buy all the dlc. Just look at there previous collection that's supposed to be the entire saga with some dlc left out.

I was actually thinking of doing a replay during Easter or some such thing, so the timing couldn't be better. I still haven't tried Omega and the other post-release DLCs, so there should be enough new content to make it interesting.

This sounds very, very interesting. It could be better than the whole game itself, if it turns out to be what the press release announces.

When does it take place in Commander Sheppard's overbooked agenda?

One of the worrisome signs for Bioware: they listen to their customers.

Their customers were grieved about some plot holes? The Omega DLC filled them.

They were disappointed meetings again with old chums were too short in ME3? Bioware produces a DLC to fill the gap.

It is worrisome because as usual with players, when an idea is not good and comes from them, they reject the relationship to them. It is all the developpers' fault.

Personally, I have problems understanding why this singleplayer DLC is

- coming, although the team appeared to make it clear that ME3 was about nothing but MP in the end ?

- coming so late ? After everything's been done ?

If they were really consequent, then the MP crowd should moan & protest loudly against it.

Including the unfortunate day 1 DLC (should´ve been in the base game) and the extended cut, they´ve already made 4 rather substantial SP DLCs for the game and Citadel (apparently a 4 gigs download) is a fifth one.
Obviously ME3 was not about "nothing but MP" from the team´s perspective.

The content does not make itself overnight.
Also, among other things, the DLCs keep the game on the map.
If they were really consequent, then the MP crowd should moan & protest loudly against it.
Why? The MP crowd got 5 DLCs at no additional cost, including the just recently released one and AFAIK the support for MP was widely well received.

Nearly a year after release they are still supporting MP with balance changes, bug fixes, and free DLC with new character types, weapons, etc. Not too shabby. :)

Of course if you want you can buy credits with real money, but it is totally unnecessary. I wonder what their income is from this source, and if has been enough to pay for this post launch MP support?

Wow are they done yet.

Seriously seems there dlc is either hit or miss. At least the mp dlc is free but sadly I don't play mp much. Just bring on DA3 already.
