if you are having trouble getting money then if you go to the farm in bandit camp (swamp) the guy who wants 10 weed plants of you he gives you 70 gold and 50 xp points , well after u sell it to him then knock him out and take it back from him and sell it to him again , you can do this as many times as u want
(some have had to use a jest spell so he will talk to you again but he just bought it straight back from me)
And its also a good idea to get as many weed plants as u can cos what i did was sell 2 x lots of 10 weed plants a time and the money shot up pretty quickly

You could do exactly the same thing in G2 and G3.
