Well, maybe i was a bit too harsh. My main cause of concern was the fact, that the developer has simply not done proper RPG-s before. Sports sims and soulless Diablo clones can't be a good training ground for a soon-to-be RPG developer.

Indeed. But some title has to be your first, and sometimes first RPGs are pretty good (Baldur's Gate, The Witcher, etc). At least they have some experience with RPG-esque. And they did well enough translating Blood Bowl from board to PC in my experience.

Who knows? There's nothing in the interview to dismiss it with, and while one might rather want to see a veteran developer on it, I'll wait and see.
