Although someone already posted a link in another thread, this deserves a thread of it's own:

The site, called Fig, launched today with a campaign for the space exploration game Outer Wilds. Its advisory board includes three indie studio heads who have raised millions on Kickstarter for games like Wasteland 2 and Broken Age: Double Fine’s Tim Schafer, inXile’s Brian Fargo, and Obsidian’s Feargus Urquhart.

What's new and why we should go there?

1. Fig covers ONLY games (and games related stuff).

2. Will include only those games reviewed and accepted by its board of experts (the trio in the quote and hopefully this means we won't see any pay2win and phonegames garbage EA or Ubisoft would push).

3. Accredited investors can get a share of revenue once the game currently on it is released. Campaigns eventually will be opened to non-accredited investors, meaning anyone could become an investor in a game and reap the rewards so there won't be cases of Oculus sold to Facebook with middlefinger to backers.

The opening project, Outer Wilds, is a spaceexploring adventure of a sort. I won't back it just yet (not sure what that game is supposed to be so will wait for an update or a few), but you can check it here:

#2 doesn't seem all that great, or maybe it's because I've never fallen victim to a Kickstarter hoax
