What I've Been Watching: The Catch-All Film Thread

Insurgent

What can be said about this movie. Well in a world that seems to be torn apart everyone has very stylish clothing. No one seems to be over weight or for that matter everyone is very good looking. If you don't like your style you can cut it yourself and it comes out looking like a 300.00 hair cut and colouring.

hmmmmm firing advanced guns seems to be just as hard to hit people as if you were well not firing guns. Yes looks of staring instead of words, which really isn't a bad thing.

So if you like the above things I would said this movie is for you.

Tucker and Dale vs. Evil: Haha, I don't know how I could have missed this little gem. Two friendly hillbillies go to their new cabin in the mountains to drink some beer and have fun. However, a bunch of camping college kids 'mistake' them for cold-blooded killers through various (and hilarious) situations. The woodchipper scene almost killed me, couldnt breath while laughing (missed the next 10 minutes). The best part is that the movie views the situations from both Tucker and Dale (trying to be friendly) as the college kids point of view. 8/10, just don't expect a deep story or intellectual food for thought... on the other hand, you could relate Tucker and Dale to other groups of people in the world if you like. ;)

Oddly I never wrote about that one. Dunno why...
Have to agree on 8/10. Basically it's showing how a parody on a genre should actually look pointing a finger (the middle one!) to imbecillic Scary Movie series.

For those who didn't watch it yet, some info on cast and synopsis:

Recommended.

Nice. But I'm still more interested in seeing season 2 of Rebels on Bluray than seeing this in a theater.

I've just watched a movie called Faults. It is worth watching in my opinion. It starts off great and ends okay, predictable, but still definitely worth watching.

I also watched another movie my wife picked I forget the name of about a lady who stops aging for bunch of decades. It is an absolute atrocity. Never watch it, no matter what. It belongs in the same dung heap of movies like Dating Mr. Black and Notebook. Awful. How do these keep getting made? They aren't funny at all, they have no action, the stories are shit, the dialogue is ridiculous, they are slow and stupid and torture. I honestly would rather watch my parents have sex than these kind of movies. Awful. Awful. Senseless. Why would they do this? Who funds this? Who likes this and for the sake of God why? I've never seen a snuff film or child porn, but they can't be much harder to watch than these abominations. If I could be emperor of the world I would finally put an end to this nonsense. These horrors and controllers for pc games too. And any laws stopping people from clubbing baby seals. Stupid idiot seals.

Age of Adaline perhaps? I guess you didn't like it very much.

Dump the wife.

I'm pretty sure you mixed your RL with a movie there. I mean… The title pretty much sums it.
If I'm right, can't agree it's worth watching.

Have to suggest watching this one:

I'll start off by saying #4

You must live in a country where woman haven't taken over. Doing what your wife tells you is how it works here in the first world (or at least the US). I have no autonomy. She is the queen bee and I'm a little peon worker bee who is allowed to get his dinky wet if I can go long enough without sticking up for myself or trying to point out irrationalities in her sputterings.

I don't really understand what you are getting at with the rest of your post. Are you saying I'm at fault? For what? What am I being accused of? Or are you saying I have faults? I do because I am a person; granted I am far superior than your average person, but I am still a person and we all have faults. Or are you saying I am a break in a rock formation? If so, I assure you, I am not. Or are you back on this troll thing again? Only window-lickers think I'm a troll. I bring joy to a handful of people. That is what I do. So if you define troll as someone who brings joy to a handful of people I guess I'm a troll.

Anyways, please someone, Faults is on Netflix. Watch it, enjoy it, confirm to others it is worth watching and that I give good recommendations.

Yes, it is awful. It started out a little interesting and had potential, and then just decided to flush all the potential down the toilet after it took a big shit all over it. It had no point, and after the beginning the dialogue was just to add noise to all the rest of the awfulness. There is no theme in these atrocities, no analyzing what it means or meant, no reason for it. These movies are just a big, pointless pile of shit to stare at. And some people like it. That's the worst part. I don't use this word lightly but it fits in this case...horrendous. Yes, I said it. Horrendous! I had to type it again with an exclamation point. Whoever invented this genre should be shot in the face over and over and over again.

Watched Kingsman last night. It's like they took all the silliness they surgically removed from the Bond franchise and made a movie out of it. I didn't think I'd like it, but I actually quite enjoyed it. The tone is a bit muddled - it's like a lighthearted romp blended with Tarantino-style violence.

Watched a movie called The Guest. Really enjoyed it. A sort of indie/B movie/thriller, with a very compelling central performance and a great soundtrack. In some ways it reminded me of a John Carpenter movie.

Wasn't that funny the first time either. It had its moments but if not for Tom Cruise character in the movie it wouldn't have been worth watching.

Oh! Matthew Mcconaughey isn't bad in it either.
