Well it seems Dark the Stealth ARPG has released a few days early. You can buy the game on Steam for $39.99.

DARK is a unique stealth-action game with RPG elements in which you take on the role of the ultimate hunter: a vampire. Ambush your enemies from the shadows, roam the darkness and use powerful vampire skills to dispatch your opponents.

The intricate story of DARK will take you into the midst of a world of blood and darkness, where the hunter can easily become prey. Strike down other vampires, improve your character and develop formidable skills such as instantly disappearing from view to take your enemies by surprise.

Key Features:

  • Stealth and action meet role-playing: earn experience, pick your dialogue choices and develop your skills to become the ultimate hunter
  • Use impressive vampire skills and powerful melee attacks to eliminate your foes from the cover of darkness – go invisible, stalk your prey unnoticed and devastate them with up-close attacks
  • A variety of enemies await your fangs – from mortal human police and security guards to fellow creatures of the night
  • Make your way through lavishly appointed environments, from the city museum to the hidden fortress of a vampire lord hidden within a towering skyscraper
  • Impressive 3D cel-shaded graphics
More information.

That was fast! Seems like this game was just announced.

Will look forward to reviews, including from anyone here who plays it. If you are on RPGWatch, I trust your taste.

Very interested in this game.

I am doubting about buying it immediately or waiting on reviews.

Plzz someone hurry to buy and play, so I can do both :p

Costs €44.99 here in Germany, which is nearly 60 dollars. WTF Steam?
(To make it worse, the game was made in Germany.)

I've preordered it a few weeks ago, it's being downloaded this very moment so titus expect a few words from me later today.

Geez, too much stuff… Now I really don't have time to try Dragon Commander beta :(

JDR, you suggesting it doesn't have mobs? Um… It's not tetris!

But do mobs respawn or not is definetly the first thing I'll be or not be happy with.

I think I saw it for 39 € in a Saturn shop on Monday late afternoon.

But I agree : These prices are more or less an insult to German customers - even although packaging & discs cost production money, too.

It's just the usual price difference depending on were you live. Unfortunately selling games worldwide for the same price is something publishers, and digital content providers don't understand. It's nothing new.

Yes, I do know ... However, I often get this feeling as if Germans are considered as being fat & rich by the rest of the world.

Well my Australian friends often pay just as much as you do.;) Sometimes more.

It's mostly due to tax laws and other unnecessary crap really. Lets not forget greed either that plays a big role.

Dunno about fatness and richness but IIRC german court declared that pornography can't have any copyright or something like that thus pirating porn should be legal in Germany. Add to that cease&desist thing from another thread on this forum, Germans are considered as ppl with best laws out there.

It's 27.99 here. Not bad for a new game. Finally a publisher, that seems to realize, that in a country (or rather a region), where average wage is less than 800 euros a month, not many people are going to buy a videogame for 40 euros.

So you know where to search for it. I'm now off to play the game.
