Vienna, Austria - April 24 2008 - Ambiera is pleased to annouce the release of 'Darkness Springs', the first large-scale flash based role playing game which is playable directly in the web browser.

Darkness Springs is free to play from every PC which is connected to the Internet, without download or installation. It offers more than 60 maps to explore, dozens of quests to solve, more than 2000 items including magic and unique ones, 8 trainable skills, 4 trainable attributes, 30 magic spells and a lot more.

"We are very pleased with the success of the Open Beta program of the game which has ended some days before," said Nikolaus Gebhardt, CTO of Ambiera. "The feedback of the beta testers has been overwhelming so far, and we think we improved the gameplay even more now that we made the final release. It seems pretty involved, for a free game, yet the game play is quite simple. The wavy graphics, as I move, bugs me a bit, but I'm sure that's just my issue. It reminds me of one of the old school Ultima games, without an overly-complex magic system. I would recommend that people give it a try (if you sign up for a free account, you can even save your game).
