Your Torrent Downloads

Interesting. Glad to see I am in the clear!

I wouldn't be surprised if they put some Trojan on that site though.

Article on the site:
“One guy claimed he downloaded stuff only because his grandmother was ill and he wanted to watch a Harold & Kumar movie to cheer himself up,” Ter-Saakov said. “Another kid wrote and said asked to have his information removed because he was downloading porn and was afraid his parents would be able to see what kind of movies he downloaded.”

I have apparently downloaded X-men first class... Hm, no I have not. I watched that movie in the cinema and did not find it worth a re-watch, so why would I torrent it?

It shows me a bunch of stuff I certainly haven't downloaded.
Either it's complete bs or I should change my router's password… well, I might as well do so just in case.

EDIT: After restarting my router it says it has no records on me… Well it seems it's not very reliable :)

You're getting a dynamic IP address from your provider. Your previous IP address was released when you rebooted the modem/adapter and you got a new one that is apparantly clear. Previously you probably got the downloads from another customer of your ISP.

Interesting site. Only have two listings on there as I don't torrent much these days. But it reminds me that I should really have Peerblock installed.

PeerBlock will likely not do you much good. "They" can quickly figure out that you're using it and then "they" will know that you have something to hide. ;)

If your ISP cycles your IP address (as most do), then it probably was picking up someone else that had that IP address before.

Yeah, I figured that - I just was curious (and bored) enough to test it by rebooting my router.

The truth is now clear though: they're trying to pin someone else's crimes on me! O_O

I'm behind a hardware firewall - sharing an internal network with thousands of users. I'd say what they detect from our external IP is pretty unreliable.

We know you're embarrassed about the gay porn, but we're mature enough here at The Watch to understand such things. ;)

Yes, but they can of course always find out by asking the friendly, law-abiding and ethical network administrators that you treated so badly and who have your PC in their IP lease log files. ;)

Looks like the only thing they had listed for me was some porn file (something like boom boom webcam something or other). I definitely didn't download that. There's much easier ways to get that kind of a fix.

I wouldn't put too much stock into that site.

Why not? It's relatively easy to get the info that they claim to be collecting from torrent traffic. That's public knowlegde.

Well it claimed that I'm "clear", and that isn't true. I downloaded several episodes of tv shows recently, and it didn't pick up on that.
