I watched the first video. I didn't think I'd stick through the whole thing, but watching him do it the hard way was pretty entertaining. Good job, though, I might cop a death or two doing it that way too.
Lets go through all the things he didn't do!
☺ No drop attacks!
☺ No summoned friend to win it for him.
☺ +0 longsword used with two hands but shield still equipped.
☺ Medium weight for just 5 poise armour setup. Could have gone Light for faster rolling if he just removed a couple of armour parts.
☺ Only 5 estus flask. Could have at least had 10.
☺ He missed the Crystal Lizard in a barrel.
☺ Missed a ring (or two) and pine resin.
☺ Could have used the holy straight sword in Valley of Drakes or other superior weapons.
☺ Could have gone down through Darkroot Basin and popped out at the Blacksmith and avoided that whole fight, enchanted his sword, etc, etc, etc.
But then watching him do it the wrong way wouldn't have been possible.
