Space missions?

First of all, many thanks to Wesp5 and any other person that contributed to make this great game playable. Yes, great. It's far from perfect of course, but I have been waiting for a Space sim/FPS hybrid for so long!

Now I'm only on Gli so far, so I will probably get the answers to my questions by continuing play, but I'm eager to know...

1) I was disappointed in the lack of things to do in space (while Goldin and Gli - at least the Clatz Nest - bombard you with resource missions). You can trade, escort merchants, or threaten them, and that's it. Exploring 3 systems and 8 spatial stations, I was only able to find 3 ressource missions in space: the ice miner in Tamerlein spaceport, the mission to transport bodies to the Amarn system, and one race organized by a guy in a station bar of the Clatz system. Can I expect to find more secondary space missions later? Where should I look for them? Spaceports and space stations? Can quest givers be hidden in any crank of space stations or are they generally found at the bar?

2) I'd like to join the Empire against the Union. Where can you find such missions? Will the representative in BBK on Goldin give missions at some point?

3) You have the option to ask A-Z for "offers". What is that for? Does it serve a purpose at some point or is it something they never implemented and I should not bother asking all the time?

I think you either get those quests in the bar or in space flight itself, via radio transmission. There is at least one big quest left regarding the Dragon.

They'll never give you missions but on the last big planet Reandore you will be able to either join the Empire or the Free Traders.

3) You have the option to ask A-Z for "offers". What is that for?

I think this relates to the Reandore offers to either work for Empire or Traders.

So I see I just have to be patient and go on hanging in station bars. Unfortunate that they didn't push the whole Democrat vs. Empire thing though.
