Once upon a time not too long ago Cleve told us that Grimoire would be released in May. Who would have thought that he would be unable to make that moment in time to release his game. Instead he now promises us that it will be released in the future.
First of all, I want to apologize for my game being late. I knew at the start of May there was too much piling up to finish it by the end of this month. I could tell you about the work I have had to do this month, including relocating my entire family … but I don’t want you to think that I believe that is any reason for it not to be completed as quickly as possible .
I am now working on it every night, usually until midnight. I have tooltips working pretty well and have worked my way through a hundred bugs and glitches. There isn’t much left to do in terms of bug fixing but there still remains a lot of testing and walkthrough.
I will promise a new update video in early June, a superdemo for the pledges only (which I am trying to make compatible for any saved games in the final version) and a new target date for the release.
Again, I apologize. The game is looking good enough to fulfill most of the expectations for it but there still remains some work to get it into a release state. I also promise at this time to do far more regular updating until the game is out and the pledges are met. I have early draft versions of the manual and the hint guide which still need some editing to complete.
Thanks,
Cleve Blakemore
As promised I'll try and refrain from updating on this until there is an actual release date.
More information.

What a strange feeling...
Déjà vu ?

I'm such a spiteful gossip...

Don't blame Cleve, blame tsunamis. Cleve is busy building a new bunker in a tsunami-safe area.

So moving to a new bunker is to blame?
I can imagine decorating a new bunker can take up quite some time.

I thought we had more or less agreed there was little (any?) interest in hearing this idiot on RPGWatch anymore, or at least until his game was finished. By the way, certain types of mental illness (like narcissism) are aggravated by having people buy into them.

I just read: Thanks for the money! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

You know, I genuinely thought he'd do it this time...! Oh well.

Couple of months late for April fools.....
At this point now I want the game-just for my collection and to say "I was there"

great! and now that Cleve sent out a message he's left his electronic fingerprint behind so he's going to again have to move to yet another bomb shelter.

anyone think he's already started working on a sequel?

BTW - anyone who bet "May 2013" for the Grimoire betting pool will need to try again, and the casino takes the bet you posted.

I am completely unsurprised, but I'm also really hoping / expecting a release in the not-too-distant future. I will be very disappointed if Frayed Knights 2 gets released before Grimoire.

I imagine all the bug reports from the released demo were more than anticipated. This is always the case with ambitious but mostly only developer tested software. There's the parts that weren't in the demo, that Cleve needs to get out to a bevy of testers ASAP. Should be his first priority to get the pipeline filled while he fixes the known bugs.

I'd almost forgotten about this game and this guy.

Thanks for reminding me.... I guess ;)

Good God, be careful what you're saying!

I did not have any grey hair when I first heard about this game. Today was my last day of work and I am officially retired. I am ready to play a lot of new games and old ones. I do not think Grimoire will be one of them. :)

I think the agreement was that we were fine continuing to have news posts until he missed his release date. But once he missed his release date, there would be no more Grimoire news items until the game was actually available for purchase (not just given a new release date for the 30th time).
