Bluesnews points out a teaser trailer for Legends of Dawn, an "action & adventure RPG" I can't recall seeing previously from Dreamatrix (Spaceforce Rogue Universe). The ~40 second video is half logo and half CGI (?), so don't expect too much. Looking at the official site doesn't reveal much because despite quite a bit of descriptive text, there's almost no detail on the basic gameplay although it it described as having no loading screens and "players are free to move in this non linear world, in any direction they choose".
Looking around the 'net, it appears to be have been announced back in 2008 by Croation developer Provox, according to IGN, who have presumably since been acquired by Dreamatrix.
More information.

Reading from the website , i would say this is a Hack and Slash top down RPG but there are so few that play smooth and hook me in . The game seems to have some decent lore , background. Lets hope this is as good as Sacred or Diablo, TQ.

Well… okay… I'm interested in this because of the type of game it is (which I love). A video with some gameplay would win me over probably. For now, I'll keep an eye on it.

Meh, so tired of all devs attempting to advertise their game with CG. Just show us the damned game, and if its not to that point yet, then just don't show anything. Course if we already know what the game looks like, or its been out for awhile, then sure a CG trailer to promote an expansion or storyline is great!

Although I'm from the "guilty" country, I don't know more details about this than you do… But seems Dreamatrix is actually Provox's games section. Try this link:
http://www.provoxgames.com

Or even better, this one:
http://provox.hr/

And for nonbelievers, contact e-mail is as posted here:
http://www.dreamatrix.net/site/index.php/company/corporate/contactus.html
dreamatrix@provox.hr

That settled, I'll try to squeeze out more details about the game (domestically, hehe). Can't promise anything though, but doesn't hurt to try, right? ;)

Till then, this is what site admin said, it's not something big but...
We will post news on the first page of the http://www.dreamatrix.net site. Ingame trailers and screenshots will be added soon. Until then entire team is hard at work and we appreciate your support. :D

PS. And yes, there will be top-down perspective camera in the game. It can be freely rotated around the main hero and you can zoom in and out.

Bumpity bump…

The game was planned for Q4 2012, seems we won't be seeing it yet, dunno why.

I've put a question on the official site will it at least be out before Nuclear Union. ;)

In the meantime, enjoy gameplay trailer 2 which is from half a year old beta version:

Triplepost, sorry. But not w/o reason.

According to mod on the official site, due to financial issues devs need some more cash to complete the game.

So the news is:
1. Expected game release date is February 2013
2. Fundraising campaign will take place on Kickstarter and will start most probably tomorrow
3. The new game trailer will be included in the KS project

Dunno about you but I've never played Sacred 2. Wasn't Sacred2 yet another Diablo-clone with multiplayer? I'm simply not into that stuff.

Pretty much. And this looks like that, maybe with fewer enemies. The combat looked somewhat MMO'ish to boot, never a good thing.

Dunno what to say. Since it says that differnet mobs spawn during the day than those that spawn during the night, I asked on the forum does it mean that the game contain endless mobrespawning = grinding. We'll see...

And on Kickstarter um… it just kickstarted:

Got the answer:
Most of the monsters respawn endlessly. Some unique monsters do not. However respawn rate is long enough so that you do not have to kill them every 2 minutes...

We made respawn for two different reasons. First is so that player can level up on weaker monsters if (s)he is stuck in area where stronger monsters are simply too strong (it can happen if player that uses, let's say fire spells, arrives in area filled with tons of monsters resistant to fire).

Second reason is that monsters are source of crafting materials. Each killed monster drops bones, skins, furs, meat, leather and other resources required for cooking, crafting, leatherworking and other skills. It would be annoying if you developed all those skills just to be unable to use them because you do not have necessary ingredients.

Since Kickstarter has a modtool as a stretch plan and if respawns get too annoying (as ones in Inquisitor), I promise I'll make norespawn or something mod if modtool happens to be available.
