I couldn't bare Wes Craven horrors, even when I was the right demographic for them. I've no idea why, his style just irked me, it was too formulaic in a formula I didn't like I guess. After trying out a few of his movies when they were first released (Elm Street onwards) I just stopped watching anything with his name attached.
It's a shame he's gone though, he was a stalwart of the genre and one of those unique people who remained confidently bankable for all of his career and for the masses his name was a mark of some kind of quality.
