There's a difference between story and lore as background, and tedious expository cutscenes every few minutes or so with character dialogue and/or more intimate interactions. For the same reasons provide by Dart, I love Morrowind. Fantastic lore and good story that wasn't pushed on you. You could read the books at your leisure. In my mind it has the best balance in that regard. And not because there was no sex, although you could make a furry friend.
