So, the Fallout: New Vegas Ultimate Edition has been announced for next February:
We’re pleased to announce the Fallout: New Vegas® Ultimate Edition will be available in retail stores across North America on February 7th 2012 and throughout Europe on February 10th. The Ultimate Edition comes complete with all of the game add-on content for Fallout: New Vegas - Dead Money, Honest Hearts, Old World Blues, Lonesome Road, Courier’s Stash and Gun Runners’ Arsenal.

For players who are seasoned explorers of New Vegas or just getting into the game for the first time, the Ultimate Edition expands beyond the Wasteland like never before with the Sierra Madre Casino, Zion National Park, Big MT research crater and the treacherous Divide now open for exploring. Along with new areas to explore, each of the four main add-on packs increases the maximum level cap by five levels, ultimately raising the cap to level 50.
Fallout: New Vegas is rated M for Mature by the ESRB. For more information on Fallout: New Vegas please visit http://fallout.bethsoft.com.

Finally, I've been waiting for this. Got tired of the whole DLC-crap after Fallout 3, so even though I'm dying to play New Vegas after all the positive comment on this site I have decided to wait until I can buy the complete game. Just 4 more months then...

I just remembered that the Polish distributor of Fallout 3 had made the decision that no one was allowed to buy "just" Mothership Zeta - you had to buy the GOTY edition of Fallout 3 to get it. If they pull this again and keep blocking any Steam purchases of Lonesome Road here I'll get really mad...

...well, as mad as anyone can get when the topic is leisure & entertainment ;)

Hmm. I wonder if this means that a single disk with just all of the DLC won't become available until after this package is due in February?
I already have a CE, so don't particularly want to purchase the full game again...

I remember with F3 that they initially released them seperately in packs of three on dvds before the game of the year edition came out. Seems like a slightly different approach then which may also force my hand early!

This almost sounds like an insult to me. Yeah, call me "The Old Europe" again !

And at the same time they promise to publish Skyrim 11:11 world-wide ? Is this punishment against me making jokes on this date ?

Just the usual release nonsense as new release day is different in the US than Europe. Its not going to change just because the release is digital.

As for saying Europe I see no problem as that is what it is called on a map. Its easier than saying every single country.

I'm hoping Steam offers the four main DLC in some kind of package. I'd like to purchase them all at once without having to buy the main game again.

I'm hoping Steam offers the four main DLC in some kind of package. I'd like to purchase them all at once without having to buy the main game again.

The ones that were out at the time went as low as $2.50 when Fallout was deal of the day on the summer sale. It's quite possible all 4 will go that price during the Steam winter sale. Not quite a package but if you can get all 4 together for a total of $10 that's not a bad deal at all.

Just resist the urge to buy it when the winter sale starts and it goes %25 off at $7.50. If you wait and see if they do a Fallout or Bethesda daily deal it may go lower.

I tried to comment on the Lonesome Road release fiasco on the Bethesda Blog:

http://www.bethblog.com/index.php/2...ltimate-edition-arrives-in-february/#comments

I just pointed out (civilly - and definitely more politely then the guy posting about "rereleasing broken games") that the thing hasn't been released in (central) Europe yet. And a funny thing happened -- first it said "your comment is awaiting moderation" for about 24 hours, and now, when I want to comment, it says "Comments are closed for this post."

So, one can say their games are broken on the Bethesda blog, but one cannot point out they're blocking a part of the UE from buying their product?

Bizarre update: The "Comments are closed" thing is IP-related! Others can comment, I cannot! I managed to circumvent it using a proxy, just to make sure it's IP-based — it is… Of course, now it's "awaiting moderation", so no one will see it, but it's amazing they secretly banned my IP…
