Trent Oster, former co-founder of Bioware, now running Digitial Download site

Interesting business aka (promotional) report on what Trent Oster is doing now since his departure from Bioware.

He's hired Cameron Tofer, also formerly of Bioware, to develop Beamdog, a digital game distribution company:

I'm not sure if sales are available outside of Canada but he managed to convince someone to give him C$200k in startup capital and have 100k in visits in 2 months.

Saw that a week or so ago...and I don't get it. I couldn't see anything to distinguish them from bigger, established competitors.

I guess this might become a new trend ... like all these MMOs popping up in masses out from nowhere.

Well, if they manage to either get a better selection or better prices, I'll certainly consider buying there. So far, gog.com is still my favourite by far.
